Seaview Art Glass - Classes

Seaview Glass Ranch Two-Day Beginner Workshops

Presented by Fred 'Sonny' Cresswell and Leslie Moody

These classes are offered to the Glass Enthusiast and/or Collector who would like to have hands on experience working with Hot Glass. Each class will include hot shop basics for beginners; tools, techniques and safety, as well as demos and hands on experience. Hand-outs will include a Hot Glass Safety Outline and handbook, Beginning Glassblowing by Ed Schmid. Students will come away from the Workshop with at least 2 - 3 pieces of their own creation.

glassblowing These two-day Workshops are being offered the second weekend of April, May, June, July, and August from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The July and August classes are for those who have taken our Beginning Workshop and wish to continue to the next level. Class size is limited to a maximum of six people, with a minimum of four. A five day Advanced Workshop will be offered in September to those interested in building upon their previous glass experience. This class size is limited to four people.

The class location will be the Hot Shop of Seaview Art Glass, approximately 11 miles north of Jenner, 40 miles west of Santa Rosa on the Sonoma Coast.

The cost per person for the two day Beginner Workshop is $350.00. The five day Advanced Workshop is $750.00. Materials fees included.

Application Fee and Payment
Full payment must accompany the application / registration form (downloadable from our website). There is a non-refundable $15.00 registration fee that must accompany your registration form. Classes are filled on a first come first served basis until all spaces are filled. All classes are subject to minimum and maximum enrollment.

Refunds and Cancellations
If cancellation is received 30 days prior to the class start date, you will receive a full refund less the application fee. If cancellation is received less than 30 days but at least 7 days prior to the class start date, Seaview Glass will refund 50% of the class cost less the registration fee. There is no refund for cancellations received less than 7 days before the class start date. In the event a class fails to meet the minimum, all fees will be refunded unless applicant wishes to be placed in a succeeding class.

On-Site - Campsites with shower facilities are available for $10 per person per night.

Off-Site - Camping is also available at several State Parks nearby: Ft. Ross and Salt Point State Parks.

What to bring
Each student must bring their own lunches with beverage. Wear sturdy cotton clothing - long sleeve cotton shirt, sturdy, closed-toe leather shoes, long pants (denim jeans recommended), and lightly tinted sunglasses (required).
